easter in an "egg"shell

first off, a big thank you to my parents for saving my sanity and lending me their camera until we can replace ours.

every year on the saturday before easter, bryce's grandma has an easter breakfast and egg hunt at her home. there's always lots of people and millions of kids there and they always rent a bounce house to entertain the kids. ava enjoyed searching for eggs, especially after she realized that there was candy in them.

she insisted on opening each egg to discover the treat hiding inside before moving on to find the next one.

i only got a few pics of ava in the bounce house because she spent most of her time on the trampoline next to the bounce house... silly girl.

easter sunday i gave bryce and ava their easter baskets. i felt like ava had been overloaded with sugar all weekend so i opted for non-sugar items for her basket. bryce thinks i gypped ava of the easter candy goodness. i'm still trying to figure out how i want to do easter, i seem to change things up every year.

we hid a few eggs around the house for ava to find, which she enjoyed doing since she had the practice from the saturday easter egg hunt.

i put sunglasses in both ava and bryce's baskets... here they are modeling their trendiness. ava loves to wear them and actually keeps them on. everytime she puts them on she gets a serious model look on her face. she's too cool for school.

then it was off to church...

after church was naps, dinner at bryce's parents house then off to my parents. we had a great easter but by the end of the day, ava wasn't acting herself and seemed to not be feeling well and i, too started feeling a sore throat coming on. by monday, ava and i were both sick with colds. we're still feeling pretty crummy, and i am physically wiped out, it's killing me. hopefully, we can both kick this soon.
