delly

i can't find a single word to describe how much i love and adore this little girl.

before she was born, when we were thinking of names, i wasn't completely sold on the name adele. not that i didn't like it, rather i absolutely loved it. but i have a habit of nicknaming those closest to me.

{if i've nicknamed you it should be considered an honor, it means that i love you.}

so, i feared i'd end up nicknaming her deli.

like a slimy piece of deli meat.

but adele seemed so fitting and was also the only name that bryce and i agreed on, so we went with it.

within the first month the girls nicknamed her adelly.

and sure enough, a short time later, we began calling her delly.

delly not deli.

although she is delicious and would make a great delicacy anywhere but a delicatessen.

"we'll eat you up. we love you so."
