our christmas

this christmas was busy, not to mention fun-filled. in fear that december would come and go before i could squeeze in a post of our christmas i decided i needed to hurry up and highlight our holiday.

we enjoyed lots of treats all month long from friends and neighbors not to mention some sweet non-edible treats from my crafty and talented friends.... thank you sarah and kayleen!

christmas board from sarah

blue & grey houndstooth scarf from kayleen

we had a delicious dinner at bryce's parents house on christmas eve, followed by a hilarious attempt of a reenactment of the nativity scene. ava was in an awful naughty mood that night and refused to hold the star by herself which forced bryce to involuntarily be a part of the story.

later we opened a few presents, something that drives me nuts since i'm a stickler when it comes to opening any presents before christmas... i only like to open pajamas, nothing else. unfortunately, i'm outnumbered and am forced to participate.

we spent the night of christmas eve at my parents watching a christmas story, snacking all night and helping with my parent's last minute wrapping.

christmas morning we opened stockings and presents at my parents...

bryce and i had so much fun watching ava open and get excited over her presents. we both felt so young again!

only i would get this excited over scrabble.

ava finally got the hang of opening presents and kept asking for more to open! she certainly made out like a bandit.

one of the biggest hits of the day was the doll stoller from grandma olivia... after an unsuccessful attempt of trying to sit in it herself, she loved it!

later we headed to bryce's parents house to open a few more presents and talk to his brother chris on his mission.

we spent the afternoon there, then headed back to my parents for dinner, movies and more snacking.

it was such a fun christmas, especially since ava was so excited for everything. i can't imagine how much more fun next christmas will be when she really starts understanding everything. now that i'm realizing how much fun we had and that it's coming to an end i'm starting to enter post-holiday depression. shoot. i knew it would happen.

that first picture of you and bryce is so cute.

that's really funny that bryce had to be the star in the nativity. what a trooper.

we don't need any of that post-holiday depression. let's get together and have some fun. it's definitely time for a girls night.

I soooo have the depression. I refuse to let it go. I really have to try hard not to think about it!!! Evelynne got a little stroller too and she LOVES it also! How funny!

It looks like you guys had a great Christmas. I loved how you did a play-by-play with the Dentons. Scrabble is everything worth getting excited about! Christmas is so much better with little ones. I'm glad you all enjoyed your Christmas!

Well, your Christmas looks like it was a hit! I too am alittle sad it is all over, I just took down all of the decorations and the tree, and everything looks alittle barren and lifeless without all of the glitter and lights. Oh well, until next year I guess!
