last week, to say the least, was rough.
monday night, i was awakened to the sound of my daughter gagging. we ran to her room to find that our poor ava was sick. we were up for about an hour comforting and cleaning. luckily, she only threw up a couple times, but enough to cause sleep deprivation the next day. thankfully, this was the end to her sickness and the rest of the week she was completely healthy... weird, huh?
tuesday night around 10pm, bryce suddenly got a worried look on his face. what? i asked in an annoyed voice since i already knew what he was going to tell me. he replied, i forgot that i have a big assignment due tomorrow! i was tired from the night before and i knew that i needed my sleep so i could be a semi-decent mom for ava, so i headed off to "sleep" while bryce got started on his assignment. i use the word sleep loosely since i have difficult time sleeping without him by my side. at 3:30am, i awoke to find that he had still not come to bed. i went to check on his progress only to find he was not even close to being done. i was so fuming that i didn't fall back to sleep until an hour later.
wednesday both bryce and i were exhausted from the nights preceeding, however, bryce's parents had bought us tickets some weeks before to the mountain view holiday dinner for that night. bryce worked as fast as he could so he could rush home in time to take me. we dropped ava off at my mom's and off we went. although, we enjoyed the food and music, we both were tired from our week and just wanted to get home.
thursday night bryce had to go sing at his brother's ward and i had my own relief society activity to attend, so we were both rushing around trying to get out the door in time. when we finally got home that night we crashed.
friday night was finally a relief. bryce had to work late again, so i decided i didn't want to eat another dinner alone with ava and that i needed to give myself a little break. i called up a few girls in the ward whose husbands were out of town and organized a last-minute dinner, playdate, get-together. it was so nice to unwind from such a hectic week, with such fun girls. thank you nicole and brooke!
the rest of our weekend went well...
saturday, we did a little christmas shopping and bryce finally put our lights up on our house... hooray! then it was off to kayleen and spencer's for homemade pizza, fun conversation and some craftiness. it's great to have such great friends to break us from those rough weeks! i haven't laughed that hard in a while, how refreshing! during dinner, ava and owen started holding hands. after a while, they still hadn't let go, so i decided to grab my camera and catch them. my camera was on the wrong setting so the picture i took turned out terrible.

sunday was church and then dinner at my sister's. thank you, gracie, for the delicious food and yummy holiday treats! how crafty is my sister? i'd never have the patience for this.
and thank you, colin, for entertaining ava so i didn't have to.
tomorrow is bryce's offical last day as an asu student! he takes his last final tomorrow morning and then he will officially have graduated with his bachelors of science! we are so excited, to say the least, (although we know we have more schooling ahead of us.) hopefully, this means that our days will finally slow back down!

I know what you mean about the weird illness going around. I think its some strange 24 hour flu virus. First I was struck with it after attending Henry's holiday work party on Thursday night. Then the next day, Amaya threw up once or twice without reason. We have both been fine since then, but its rough none the less.
Evelynne kinda had a little sickness, but just for a few hours...weird! It is a new week, yeah!

sarah, i think you're the only one who saw me almost lose it when i found out where that smell was coming from. that b&w picture looks better than when it was in color, but i still wish i could have captured their moment better.

i, too, am glad that i could be part of such a action packed week...and for two nights! i am a lucky girl.
i looked up lily allen...and silly me, i totally knew who she was just by listening to some of her music. she's adorable. and i don't even come close...nice compliment on bryce's part though.

I had a blast with you Friday too! It was fun to chat and eat and eat! We'll have to do it again soon! BTW, my mom is having a few garage sales in the next few weeks (lots of stuff) let me know if you want her address.
Everyone's kids are throwing up left and right. Colin threw up the other day...after he sat watching the washing machine. I think he got dizzy. You have to ask Brian to tell you about one of his coworker's "My Kid Threw Up" story. It is hilarious, I was in tears laughing.
Hooray for Bryce!!! Welcome to the world of paying off your student loans. Ugh.
My favorite part was that Owen wasn't wearing any pants...I love that he was in a shirt and shoes. No pants. LOVE IT.
Congrats to Bryce- I still have 1 more year and I already want to shoot myself in the face.
