i love that i was able to capture ava's spontaneous day dream in the above picture. our family had gone out to eat and were sitting out on the patio all by ourselves while the inside of the restaurant was abuzz with the regular friday night crowd. the night was perfect, warm with a cool breeze and we wondered how we got so lucky to be the only ones to request to sit out on the patio. as we waited for our food, we let ava play on the other side of the patio railing. while bryce sipped at his drink, and emaline slapped her hands on the table, i grabbed my camera and ran over to where ava was playing and snapped a few shots of her and her carefree disposition. it is at these times that i remind myself and wish, more than anything, to be able to provide her with as many carefree moments in her life as i possibly can. because before she knows it, she'll be the one behind the camera, longing for those pure, simple and airy moments only possible in a child's mind.

y'know one of the things that makes me happy about Ava, is that whenever we see you guys she makes a point to come and say hello to me and adam. It makes me feel special! Love that little one, oh and the rest of you too! :) :)
