birthday parties one and two

we've been having lots of fun and staying busy with my visiting family from out of town. on wednesday we had a small birthday party at my house for my cousin. it was quite chaotic and ava was overwhelmed with everyone trying to carry, hug and kiss her. you could tell she loved the attention though.

last night, we were invited to a birthday party for some people in our ward. it was a quadruple birthday celebration. we are so lucky because our ward is filled with couples around our age with many kids around ava's age. it's perfect!

we had lots of fun visiting with everyone and ava enjoyed 'playing' with all the kids. she kept following the older crowd and trying to do everything that they were doing. *sigh* she'll learn.

later on everyone went swimming. it was actually a little chilly so i opted not to jump in, but bryce did and took ava with him for a bit. by the time her teeth started chattering we decided it was time to get her out.
we stayed until about 8:30pm! much later than we had planned, but ava was in a great mood and ready for socializing so we stayed until she began to fuss.
it was nice to get out and hang with some of the families in our ward. we can't wait to do it again!


tonight we're off to another birthday party for a friend of ours... yay, more cake! i'm never gonna lose weight.
