friday morning bryce had to be at asu at 7:15 for graduation. i decided that i wanted to enjoy the graduation and if i would have to rush off before it ended i would stay here, but if i had enough time to snap pictures and visit a bit before i had to catch my flight then i would go to my friend's wedding in vegas. we headed to asu a little before 7am, still unsure of what they day would hold for me. ava was so pleasant despite the fact that we had to wake her earlier than she normally would in order to get out on time. bryce headed off to meet up with the other graduates while i grabbed some seats for us and some family. i was so impressed with how well behaved ava actually was. she sat on my lap for most of the time, reading books and eating snacks. she started to get a little restless towards the end, but by then papa luis was there to save the day and take the kids for walks outside. by 10:30am, graduation was still going on, which meant that there was no way that i would make my flight to vegas, so i texted my girlfriends to tell them i was going to miss my flight and to tell my friend i was sorry! i was bummed, but glad that i had already prepped myself for that possibility.
after graduation, it took us about 20 minutes to find bryce. it was ridiculous! there were so many people everywhere! we snapped a few pictures with the graduate. i was so proud! doesn't he look more handsome now that he's a college grad?
when we got there, bryce's parents surprised us by setting up a $100 credit on the room, to be used for dinner, room service, or anything else we may need. it was so nice of them!
the hotel room was awesome! my favorite part was this...
that's right, a sleep number bed! i've always wanted to sleep on one. my sleep number you ask? it was a 55. bryce's was more like 85.
we had an awesome view from our room
and they had an awesome pool.
my second favorite part was the mini-bar. not that we partook of anything, but it was cool to have one in our room.
we even had some cool bathrobes, like they have in the movies... i made bryce put it on and pose for me.
it was so nice to spend the entire evening alone with bryce. we enjoyed our much needed alone time together. that night we ate dinner where i had my first taste of crab legs... i'm not sure how i feel about them, but bryce of course loved them.
after dinner bryce and i headed to the casino. along with the room came $20 to use at the casino, courtesy of the hotel. since it wasn't our money to use, we didn't feel bad about using (losing) it. i lost all of my half, but bryce won everything back along with an extra $2.75... hooray!
the next morning, we slept in until 10am! the curtains there were complete black out ones, so it looked like 10 at night when we woke up. we were both so confused, and stoked at the same time. it was awesome. for breakfast we decided to order room service. i've never ordered room service before so i was pretty excited about it... i made bryce take pictures.
i was so sad when we had to check out. i enjoyed my stay and can't wait to have another romantic retreat.
when we went to go pick up ava it was lunch time, so we headed out to eat with my parents. my sister and her family were on their way over, so we decided to head back to my parents house for ava's nap instead of heading home. i'm glad we did, because my parents volunteered to watch our kids again while we headed to a movie! i felt so bad for my parents because they had watched my sister's boy on thursday night and friday, ava on friday night and saturday and now both of them on saturday night! they insisted that we go, so off we went. we all went and saw spiderman 3... not my first choice but it wasn't that bad, just a little long if you ask me. after the movie we headed back to my parents, picked up our sleeping ava and finally came home. we were both pooped.
(can you believe that you just spent a good 5-10 minutes reading this entire post? sorry.)

Congrats to Bryce and Lucky You! I am completely jealous of your fabulous weekend. My birthday present will hopefully involve a night or two away from the kids before I am a mommy of three!
Congratulations! Thats so awesome that Bryce graduated. What a fun little weekend you two got to have! I am definitely way jealous.
