weekend review...

on friday, (or was it thursday?) i watched my friend lindsay's little girl, avery for a little bit. she brought her over in a shirt that ava has, so after she left, when i finally got around to dressing ava, i thought it'd be funny if i dressed them exactly the same.

i had the hardest time telling them apart.

saturday, we were invited to the kimball's for a bbq. not a hamburger/hot dog bbq, but a full on steak and chicken bbq! the food was absolutely delicious. later that night xyzebra was having a reunion show so blake, spencer and bryce headed off to that while the wives stayed behind to watch the kids and play catan!

owen and ava had fun staying up late and actually began playing and interacting with each other, not just playing side by side.

it was getting late and while we were occupied playing the game, owen felt that now was the time to make his move. he started with trying to put his arm around ava first and then...

he went for it!

i was unable to capture the rest of it because i was laughing too hard, but owen then somehow started to carry ava, fell over and then tried to give her kisses. it was pretty funny, i think our laughing ruined their moment. despite it being way past the kids' bedtime, they both managed pretty well. it's a good thing they get along well, so i can cater to my social needs. we had lots of fun, thank you mandy and blake!
