be mine

putting together valentine's can be pretty serious business.

yesterday, ava and i spent the afternoon getting her valentine's ready for her preschool class tomorrow. it took me back to my elementary years, when i readied my valentines, picking the best ones out for my best friends and crushes and adding more candy and care to those envelopes. or in my husband's case, adding a dollar bill to his crush's valentine, but that's another story.

as we went through all the names, i watched ava carefully choose which valentine that person would like most with an accompanying princess rub-on tattoo. then, with a little help from me, she wrote out their names as well as her name on each valentine. and finally, very carefully, she stamped two hello kitty stamps and added two heart stickers to each one. i loved watching her put so much care and effort into each one. she had so much fun doing this that she insisted that we do one for each of her friends from her dance class as well.

and so we did.

she can't wait to give them to her friends.

Love it -- Mary was like Ava -- so excited, making sure they were just right... Ryan was like -- "mom, get those valentines ready for me.." He hated anything that had to do with writing... and still does....

Enjoy!

So cute! Ashley picked the same Valentine cards to give to her friends, and she just loved helping Mom put them together. She loved passing them ou to all of her friends at her Valentines party. So fun!

i love it! i think ruby was a little overly confident while working on her valentines...she scribbled through them all in about a minute flat. that's probably why i had to go back through and rewrite her name on all of them.

ruby, why can't you be a little bit more like ava in this regard? haha.

ps. diana, i'm loving your photos!
