birthday weekend

i had a wonderful birthday! thank you for all the nice birthday shout-outs, i am so lucky to have such wonderful friends.

on friday, my morning started out with these. i had to snap a picture of them before they began wilting away.

that afternoon, my friend lindsay treated me to a fun birthday lunch. we packed all three of the girls in the backseat and headed to matta's. although they don't seem to be enjoying each other's company in this picture, they were actually all entertained with each other. they play together well!
thanks linds, for taking me out!

that night as i mentioned in my previous post, my husband had a show. we dropped ava off at my in-law's and headed out to eat and then off to the show. my husband played a great set, everyone really seemed to enjoy it.
right before his last song, he announced to the crowd that it was my birthday and had everyone join him in singing happy birthday to me. he then had his brother bring in a cake for us to share with everyone there. i was totally caught off guard, it was a really fun surprise.

after, he played we hung out for a little bit and then took off again. he had another surprise in store for me. instead of heading home, he started heading in the complete opposite direction. we ended up at a hotel in anthem. his plan was for us to stay the night here and then head to the outlet stores across the street the next morning for a little birthday shopping! i love outlet stores so i was beyond excited! and he didn't stop there... once we were in our room he pulled out a gift bag. inside were two books that i had really been wanting. what a wonderful birthday he gave me! i feel so undeserving of it all, he really made me feel special. needless to say, i had a wonderful time shopping the next day and made out with some really cute things at really great prices. i really had such a great time with bryce!

after my fun shopping spree, we headed back to mesa to get ready for a birthday party. we changed into our suits, picked up ava then headed to the party.

ava had lots of fun swimming and playing with her friends. we too enjoyed swimming and hangin' with our friends.

we stayed at the party for a couple hours and then headed home once more to change back into our regular clothes to meet up with my family for my birthday dinner. i chose my big fat greek restaurant since it's been a while since i'd been there. it was delicious and i, of course, was stuffed by the end.

it was a wonderful way to end my birthday weekend... i had no idea that being 26 was this much fun!

Wow. You are one lucky girl. It looks likes those "lessons" really paid off for bryce! What a sweet, sweet husband!

That's great that Spencer and Blake came to Bryce's show, but I don't think that Blake and Bryce should support Spencer as he stands outside against the car for a smoke break. I mean, you guys should really talk to him about his smoking habit.

Wow looks like you had so much fun! And who wouldn't want to get swept away somewhere for a shopping weekend? Totally jealous! (hey that guy jeff in your picture...what is his last name? he looks familiar but can't really see his face...just curious, looks like my friend Elee's husband)
