ava has come down with 3 colds in the past two weeks. but diana, you say, are you sure she hasn't just had one cold that's lasted two weeks? positive. she's had three separate colds start with her coughing all night, recovery and then a day later i spot a runny nose and it all starts over again with a fever, and coughing all night. poor thing. we're staying in the rest of the week. we're determined to beat this.
last weekend was the first weekend in a while that bryce and i had to ourselves, meaning that we had no prior commitments to go anywhere. friday night we went out for dinner just the two of us to pita jungle. i've been craving it throughout my pregnancy and i was finally able to indulge. it's one of my favorite date places to go because of the dimly lit atmosphere and delicious food. the food was yum and the adult conversation without sticky hands grabbing at my shirt was wonderful. afterwards was tempe marketplace and a movie. it was a much needed night out alone.

saturday, since ava seemed fully recovered from cold #2 we decided to run some errands and do some shopping. we bought ava a new bed which i have yet to bring myself to actually put her in. (i'm just not ready yet, besides i want to paint it.) that evening we were invited out to dinner to pita jungle with some friends. what are the chances of them going to the exact same restaurant? we passed on it since we had just gone the night prior and were tired from our busy afternoon. after we put ava to bed, we popped some popcorn, made some hot chocolate and enjoyed across the universe, my v-day present from bryce.
it was such a great relaxing weekend spent with my family. it's always nice to slow down and enjoy the time we have with each other.

cute feet. nice weekend.
What is Pita jungle....sounds good! I have yet to see Across the Universe but have been dying to and will since my mom just bought it! Glad you had fun!
I am laughing so hard right now because I can see you going who the heck is Kim. It was me signed in as my mom from looking at someone else's blog. I even looked at it after I posted and thought, who is that and how did she type the same thing that I did. Duh, Sorry! It was me!
brooke, thanks for clarifying... i was so confused. pita jungle is delicious and you and rob should go try it out, sans kids. i don't care what their website says, it's not that kid-friendly.
Adam got me that movie for v-day too!Funnily enough(not sure if thats a real word)we were also sitting at home watching it on saturday(Thats a little creepy, right?) :)
Either our boys know us very well or they cheated and talked to each other at work(or a little of both)Either way, one of my favorite movies. I could watch it over and over again!
I hope Ava feels better soon!
I just LOVE pita jungle! It is such good food! I also just love going out just the two of us and relaxin. It is sooo nice really to do anything without our cute little attachments....(the kids).
"AAhhh"...I just had to let out a sigh of relief. I know how crazy my life gets and how nice it is to just relax, I can only imagine how much crazier it is with a kid!!! I'm glad you were able to chill out!
i was driving home from work yesterday and i was sitting at the gilbert mckellips intersection. randomly i will see o premium trucks around town.. but this one i was sitting right next to, and bryce was driving it. but he had headphones in.. and was totally singing his heart out. so he didn't hear my honking of the horn and he drove off not even noticing me. i believe that's a violation of the pharding law.
Sorry about last night, we have been in and out of the Drs. I have a rather sick family! Argh!
holly... have i told you yet how much i enjoy you commenting on my blog? if not, i'm telling you now. i love to hear from you!
trev... bryce read your comment and was laughing so hard. that's awesome that you saw him, and i'm not surprised that he was singing his guts out to a song. he does that always.
sarah... shall we try again? hope your kids get better soon!
I have to say, I love the pictures in this post...love them.
