weak end

i was having a fantastic week... ava and i made it to mango's with friends early in the week, a few days later we hit up the arizona youth museum, bryce was off work early a few days and on saturday we had plans to meet up with friends at the wildlife zoo. it was a wonderful week.... until we returned home on saturday only to realize that we had lost our camera. at first, i wasn't too bothered about it, it wasn't my favorite camera and is easily replaceable. then i thought of all the pictures i had taken at the zoo that were now gone, the fact that we would now have to fork out money for a new one, and that we would need to replace it very soon especially since ava has decided to create all sorts of awesome photo ops now that we have no camera around to capture them. this blog post is so bland with out any pictures:

fun at the wildlife zoo!

mandy, ava and i on the sky ride

owen, miles and ava checking the animals

ava feeding a monkey a grape

ava pushing and owen pulling miles in the wagon.

they really were some cute pictures, use your imagination.

i'm now in the market for a new point and shoot camera. i'd love to hear about any cameras that you love or hated.

you should post it in the lost & found section of craigslist

We just got a new camera and its great. Its a Cannon PowerShot SD850IS. We got it because of the Image Stabilization feature, but my sister has the SD750 and likes hers too.

i've heard only good things about the cannon powershots.

I am sooo sorry! That just stinks! I have a camera that is still missing from mine and Jareds first Christmas together. It was one with film instead of digital if you can beleive it! I am still hoping it will show up!

you know what the crappiest thing is? (i didn't want to say it but i'm not known for my filter... ex. outbreak reference... sorry...)

i didn't take very many pictures at all because i figured i'd get them from you.

so basically i looked like a japanese tourist for nothing.

i'm a big canon fan... go for a powershot.

I have the Canon Powershot SD750 and I have liked it so far! I won't tell Bryce that you lost it on purpose so you could get a new one!

Bummer! That is so sad. We had a Nikon coolpix and it was ok... but we got a Canon powershot for Christmas and we like it so much better. Good luck!

so, basically what you all are saying is if i don't get a canon powershot i'm lame. i'm so glad it was narrowed down completely... saves me the mental energy and work. thank you, thank you!

Oh dang, that is one of my worst nightmares! I wish I would have known you were going to lose yours 'cause I just sold my old one a week ago on Craigslist...I would have just given it to you(it was a nice camera too)

I just got the Canon Rebel-XTI(sp?) for Christmas and have loved it so far! Not sure if it's considered one of the powershoot ones, but if you get a Canon I think you're safe.

diana. while i was working at radioshack, i developed an intense love affair with one GE E1040. it is reasonably priced, has 10.1 Megapixels(!) and a gi-mongous viewing screen. i loved how it operated. sniff sniff.. i miss it. but yeah, check out basically any of the E series of GE cameras, radioshack should still have them for a good price.

and if you end up getting it from there, i have a no-interest RS credit card i can put it on that will save you 10%

So sorry about your camera! I loke mine, it is a Sony Cybershot, but it sounds like the Canon wins out! Good Luck!

I am using my imagination. Looks like you guys had fun!

I spilled diet coke on my camera so I'm in the same boat. Sucks huh?

Oh Diana- how I wish I could've said your camera fell into my bag so I could return it to you! There is nothing worse than losing pictures!! The mind can only remember those images for mere moments. I do have some pictures- no I still haven't put them on my computer- or even my blog- but I'd be happy to share the ones I have!
