ava started swim lessons last week and she's already learned so much. at her lessons, she's miserable, she only gets in the water when it's her turn then cries when her turn is done and refuses to wait on the step. she begs to sit on my lap, not beside me, but on me... i'm drenched by the time her lesson is over. thankfully, sarah has dealt with crying two-year-olds enough to know how to handle it. (thank you sarah.)
at home it's a different story... ava can't wait for daddy to get home so he can take her swimming. every morning she asks if she can "go swimming with daddy after dinner". she loves practicing her monkey walks and will monkey walk halfway around the pool to the ladder and climb out all on her own! she's getting better at going underwater and grabbing the wall, although she's lazy with her kicks... we're working on it. she jumps in the pool and into the water to daddy and of course, loves getting thrown up in the air.

I am so proud of Ava...she is doing so well with the things she's learned from Sarah. We should get Ava and Ruby together to play in the pool...I think that Ava might be able to help Ruby overcome some of her fears. Plus it would be fun for us, too! Maybe we'll come out and interrupt your family time one of these nights :)
