where did july go?
lately, the time is just zooming by and i'm having a hard time keeping up. we had some great times in july that i never mentioned so bear with me...

on july 13th, we blessed our sweet baby emaline. i'm grateful for my husband who prepares himself to be worthy so that he can be called on at anytime to deliver priesthood blessings. her blessing was beautiful and according to those in the circle, she smiled throughout the entire blessing.

bryce played a show later in the month at a venue in scottsdale. this is the only picture i got before my camera suddenly died. his set went well and everyone there was clapping along and seemed to really enjoy his music. most everyone there had never heard his music before, yet the response from everyone was very energetic. i usually hesitate to talk about my husband's music to avoid sounding boastful, prideful or whatever you want to call it, but just for now, i'd like to give him a moment. i am constantly amazed at his musical abilities. he
writes his own music, and constantly has new songs or ideas for songs that pop in his head, something i can't even begin to try and do. he is always singing, playing the piano or guitar, or tapping out a drum beat on whatever is around him. he's witty
[and sometimes dorky] on stage, but always entertaining.
he has recently composed an arrangement of two hymns that he will be singing in church later this month. i'm looking forward to hearing his hard work come to fruition.
many of our hot july afternoons have been spent in the pool. ava has improved so much since the beginning of summer and can now jump in the pool and swim to us and float on her back all on her own! she loves the pool, not a day goes by without her asking if she can go swimming.
and last but not least, we've just been enjoying our time together. treating ourselves to sweet treats after dinner...

spending time together as a family...
enjoying the company of dear friends...

creating masterpieces...
and decorating baby.

we've had a wonderful july... now onto august!
aren't we just seriously so blessed?

e's face in the sticker pic is priceless. she's like, "what? don't act like this is the first time you've seen this." (or something like that.)
o's getting a little too crazy w/ ava. and that pic of ava and miles is so cute of them.
i want to hear the hymns bryce composed. would he feel uncomfortable if i asked for an encore next time i see him?
That is so neat about Bryce, Diana. I'm excited to hear his ensemble at the end of this month in church (it will be in sacrament, right?).
Ava and Emaline make the cutest sisters. I too cannot believe it is already August.
YEA! i'm so glad shes swimming all over. sometimes it takes someone they know to get them doing it all. and its totally cool to brag about your husband then make fun of yourself by putting a link to "seriously so blessed" at least you know what your doing! i've noticed a few of her posts are A LOT like mine, shows how annoying i can be- i'm all good w/ it though. (not saying you annoying or anything, i wouldn't comment if you were)
IS THAT MY SWEET LITTLE GIRL SWIMMING LOVE IT THINK MAYBE SHE CAN TEACH ME TO SWIM UNDERWATER TOO. CUTE PICS. ALL OF THEM AND I'M PROUD TO SAY I'M THE GRANDMA OF THOSE TWO LITTLE GIRLS.
new arrangements of hymns is the hardest. shake it up a bit...you know what i mean?
p.s. hanging out was a blast. who knew all these years we were kindred spirits? i feel seriously so blessed to finally have figured that out.
HI! I found your blog, via Tip Junkie and Executive Homemaker. I know it was a loooooong time ago, but was hoping you could tell me how you made the wire family trees from your Super Saturday? Thanks in advance!
Love the "decorating baby picture"
