customer service - part two

remember this post about my husband rice's credit card?

well last week, i received a message from capital one asking me to call them back at my earliest convenience.  uncertain of why they'd be calling i returned their call.

me: hi, i just received a message, asking me to call.

capital one rep: yes, thanks for returning my call.  i was calling in regards to a blog that you had posted about receiving the wrong name on a new card that you had requested.

me: *silence and thinking -- wait....  what??  my blog???  seriously?  oh crap... what'd i write, what'd i write?

capital one rep:  it looks like we sent you out a new one and i just wanted to call and make sure that everything got cleared up and apologize for everything.

me: *more confused silence*

capital one rep: as you can imagine it's really embarrassing for us, and we just want to apologize for our mistake.

me:  stumbling over my words -- wait.  i'm sorry.  but, how did you find my blog?

she then went on to tell me that they randomly keep up on the blog-osphere (yes, she used that term) to see how they are doing in the customer service area.

oh.

i was so confused and dumb struck while we wrapped up our conversation and hung up.

it kinda creeps me out.

too bad they didn't read my previous post on the extra $400 expense we had... then maybe they would've offered me a little incentive to make up for their flub.  oh well.

misty, if you're reading this... thanks for calling and personally apologizing... and more importantly, for providing me with more blog material.

that is really creepy! they must have some extra time on their hands. there is a setting where you can make all the contents of your blog unsearchable in search engines.
Anyway I can teach you some photoshop if you want... brecks the one with the real technical knowledge though. I just know what looks good. we have CS2 and he said he can get you a copy if you want.
