would you believe that ava has never had a haircut? that's right, not even one little trim. she was a bald baby up until about 18 months or so, and then when it finally started growing, it grew fast. it started to become a little mullet-esque, and just when i felt like it was getting too funny looking, the sides started catching up to the back and evened out. plus, she had the most darling curls at the bottom of her hair, that i just couldn't part with, so there she stayed with her long uncut hair -- three years in the making. but, i knew that one day, i'd eventually have to let go and finally cut those beautiful baby curls off. and that day happened to be this past saturday.

and since emaline's hair was getting pretty moppy lately we decided she may as well get her first haircut, too. i've never cut anyone's hair, ever. poor emaline was my first victim. and a squirmy baby is not the most ideal client. considering the difficult circumstances, i think it turned out okay. what do you think?

I had the same issue with Amaya that you had with Ava. She was bald FOREVER! Then it started growing. She didnt get her 1st cut until she was 2 1/2. But I am trying to grow it back out so nothing again until fall. And Emaline's hair looks fab-u-lous darling.
okay... your post gave me some hope. emmi has a major mullet... i refuse to cut it because the front is so short and then she would have no hair... but i have high hopes now of the front catching up... haha.

those are so cute! i have never cut evie's hair either. i don't know if i could bring myself to do it, but i have been thinking i need to. ava looks so cute i might just break down and get it done!
how weird is that- no hair on one kid and tons on the other. i didn't cut graces till she was 4. girls are so much easier on the hair cut route, i have to get trakes cut every 6 weeks. i know love emaline she was cracking me up at church, she'll have to be one of my baby fix babies so i don't get prego again.
