*!%#*!#%!

our computer crashed on wednesday. late tuesday night the power went out in our neighborhood and from the abrupt shut off or turn on, our computer crashed and will not reboot! i didn't realize how much i use my computer until i didn't have it. i do everything on it! pay bills, check emails, upload photos, shop, look up everything and on top of all that i run my own business online! how do you run an online business without a computer or internet access?? so i've been forced to go to my parents house to check my email, manage orders etc... the only thing i'm truly worried about with our computer is whether or not our external hard drive was damaged. this is where the true heartbreak would come in because it's where all of our pictures, music and any other important files are stored. my bro-in-law said that it's probably fine, but i can't rest until i know for sure. my world has been turned upside down without a computer... how pathetic is that? how has my life become so reliant on a small machine?? it's pitiful.

moving on...

last night we had a great time! for bryce's graduation present i bought him tickets to the john mayer concert. john mayer, huh? well, actually it wasn't to go and see john mayer, although it was a bonus, it was to actually see the person opening for him, bryce's all time favorite musician, ben folds! we both felt kinda silly going to mostly see the opening band, but we couldn't pass up the opportunity to go listen to ben play a few songs. i'm so glad we went anyways, because his set ended up being a little over an hour! which was just about as long as john mayer's set without the two encores. we definitely got our money's worth and the smile on bryce's face... priceless! needless to say john mayer was equally entertaining. although we're not the biggest john mayer fans, (like everyone around us apparently was), we still like his music and were completly entertained, not to mention amazed at how incredible he is at the guitar. i recorded some of his set along with ben folds which i was going to include for your listening and viewing pleasure but i'm having problems uploading the videos onto my dad's computer so all you get are terrible pictures.

yesterday, my friend lindsay called me and said that she had read my previous blog and was wondering if i was going to the concert. i told her yes and she told me she was going too. i told her jokingly, "awesome, maybe i'll see you there!" i knew full well that there would be thousands of people there (as seen in the above photo) and that the probability of us seeing each other was pretty slim. well guess who we saw as we were walking into the arena... that's right my friend lindsay. not only that, but we were able to find each other from across the arena through the sea of people! we both got a kick out of it and thought it was pretty funny.

needless to say, bryce and i had a great time, and ava had a great time with grandma denton while we were gone. it was such a fun mid-week date, i'm already sad it's over!

now, if i can just get our computer working again....

I'm so jealous! I honestly think the last show I've been to was almost 3 years ago and it was just Before Braille in Provo. Lucky!

I'm totally jealous. We're too poor to pay John Mayer prices this year though. I'm glad it was awesome, even though I secretly wish it sucked, so I wouldn't feel so bad.

I am soooo sorry about your computer! That is just awful! I would be soooo upset! On a better note, I am glad that I found your blog! It will be fun to read up on what you are doing!

I hope you can get your computer up and running soon, and more importantly, I hope everything is safe. That's enough to make you sick.
I'm glad you had a fun date night, that would have been a great one to go to...I love Ben Folds.

I hope everything works out for your computer and that you didn't loose everything. You've gotta get a laptop and then you can bring your work with you :) Yeah, we are fortunate to have Lauren help us out once in a while with Jack... especially since Ryan and I don't ever go on dates alone. You guys need to come relax and visit us. This place is so glamourous and romantic. YOu guys need a fun trip and I can watch your cute Ava.
