ch-ch-ch-changes!

after much deliberation, i've decided to go public with my blog.... we'll see how i like it, but i love to find friends while blog hopping, so why not let some find me.

anyways, i had a great weekend!

friday, i headed over to my friend sarah's house for lunch and a little play date. we met up with our old friend molly and her kids too. we had a lot of fun and were quite busy chasing all of our children around! i brought along my little nephew who i've been watching and he and ava had lots of fun with everyone, we can't wait to do it again!

i could not for the life of me get a picture of all the kids together so this is the best i could do.... we're missing olivia and sleeping izzy.

although it may not seem as though ava was having fun, she really was, just not when i tried documenting it...

friday night was dinner with my parents. ava was going crazy at dinner. she did not want to sit in her chair! between, appetizers and the main course i headed outside with her and let her run around and get a little fresh air and free time. that seemed to do the trick for a while. she eventually sat in her chair and ate some food. after dinner, i asked bryce if he could take ava home while i did a little shopping alone. i headed to marshall's and made some great purchases. ava got a book and a dress, bryce got some shoes, and i got 3 pairs of shorts, some lounge pants and a pair of shoes. i found so many great treasures that i had to put back many of the things i wanted to avoid spending beyond my budget. i'm still sad about a few decorations for the house that i had to sacrifice, but i'll get over it.

saturday, was busy! bryce headed over to ahwatukee to finish helping my sister and her husband move out of their house. i stayed at my parents and finished cleaning out my old closet and sorting through boxes of old stuff from my old bedroom, to make room for them. (they moved in with my parents for a few months before they start looking for their new house.) ava napped wonderfully over at my parents so i got lots done! by the time everyone was done at my sister's house it was already 3pm and we had a birthday party to go to. some friends from our ward were throwing a party for their daughter who just turned one. we packed the kids up again and headed back to our house for swimsuits and towels. we took cousin colin with us again, so he would have something fun to do while his mommy and daddy finished stuff at their old house. boy did they have fun! neither ava or colin wanted to get out of the pool. ava was having fun going in and out of the water and colin had fun splashing everyone.

bryce, ava, me and colin (who decided not to look at the camera last minute.)

the birthday girl!

needless to say that after a day of moving, cleaning and a swim party we were all exhausted! thank goodness that everything is finally done at their old house at least. they still have lots of work ahead of them at my parents house in order to get settled.

sunday, i received a call from someone in our ward saying that a member of the bishopric wanted to meet with me. i always get nervous when this happens, because i know that i'm probably getting released from my current comfortable calling and called to a scary new calling. i was right... i was released from asst. compassionate service leader to dun, dun, dun, dun! home, family, personal enrichment coordinator! i am very excited and scared for this calling, i think i'll have a lot of fun with it once i get into the swing of things. what's really scary is that our entire relief society presidency got switched around and all of us are new at our callings, which is refreshing, but at the same time none of us are quite comfortable in what we're doing. we'll see how it goes! wish me luck!

okay, so I have a few things... 1)I'm so glad that your going public! This is a big step for you! 2) Thank you for coming to Ruby's party. It really meant a lot to us, and even more so now, after hearing about your crazy weekend! (It was also fun for me to see my little Ruby...on your blog) and finally 3) I know you'll be great in your new calling. Plus, you'll be working with Amber, and the two of you are fabulous, and put 110% into everything you do. I'm so excited for you! Congratulations!
