t-g-i-f !!

both of the kiddies are asleep right now, which means that i finally have some me time. yesterday, bryce and i headed to the mall after work. we had dinner at the food court and then bryce took ava to play in the play area while i did a little shopping. ava had lots of fun playing on the puppy slide. she kept going up all by herself and sliding down it with her eyes squeezed shut and a big smile on her face. i wish i would've brought my camera to capture the cute sight! there were a million kids running around on the play area, most of which were too old to be playing there but their parents didn't seem to care. i kept watching ava almost get pushed and trampled a few times, but she was dealing with it fine so i didn't do anything. finally, she was crawling out of a tunnel when an older kid, who was in the middle of an intense game of tag, came barreling through the tunnel and knocked ava down, right on her face! i looked around to see if the parents of this child were paying attention to what had happened and nobody stood up or did anything... i'd had it! i walked over to my screaming baby, picked her up, grabbed my purse and left in a huff! i was so irritated at the parents of these children, who clearly exceeded the height and age limit of this play area, they didn't care what their kids were doing. once ava calmed down, i purell'd my baby down and took her to the children's place to cheer her up... i mean, who doesn't get cheered up when they get a new summer outfit!

today we're heading over to my friend sarah's house to have lunch and a little playdate! i'm looking forward to all the kids entertaining each other... we'll see how it goes! we get to meet up with my old friend molly too, so that'll be nice! molly, sarah and i used to all work together at glauser orthodontics. i loved working with those two! i don't talk to molly a whole lot, but sarah and i have managed to stay pretty good friends since i stopped working. molly worked there for about a year after i started there and then quit after she had her baby, so sarah and i got to be closer friends the years after that. it should be fun!

tonight we're heading out to dinner with my family, not sure where yet, but not having to cook dinner is always a treat, what a fun way to start off the weekend! i'm so glad it's friday, 'cause that means i get lots of bryce time... yay! have a good weekend everybody!
