i must give my husband credit for actually reading mine and showing interest in it, but as far as anyone else's blogs, he's not interested. every once in a while when i see a funny picture, read an interesting post or check something that i think he might be interested in, i'll show him, but even then it must be quick or he loses interest. i completely understand why he wouldn't want to waste his time reading blogs with topics that don't appeal to him, there are so many people i know who blog and recently i have chosen to stick to the blogs of people who i am actually friends with, otherwise i waste a lot of time and in the end get bored. that's a whole other topic... anyways... although, my hubs enjoys reading mine, he'll still poke fun at the blog-cult that i "belong to". why is this? (bryce feel free to explain yourself, along with any other husbands who actually read blogs... or don't.) sarah offered a pretty good explanation by saying that by nature women care more about what is going on in our friends lives. what do you all think?it intrigues me. how can they be so entertaining to us, yet so unappealing to them?
and as a side note, i would actually be very interested in a husband's blog. i'td be fun to see what interests them and get a better glimpse at who they are. i think if my husband had a blog it would be covered with music, science and political posts with a few funny videos here and there. what would your husband's blog be like?

This is very interesting and true. I don't know many husbands that enjoy blogging or reading blogs. I hope Bryce enjoyed the blog post where I found his twin.
I am flattered that you read mine.
some of my favorite read's are those of men, mostly those who are stay-at-home-dad's. it spins a new perspective on parenting that i enjoy and get a lot from.
and if my husband had a blog (persuading him to start one is at the top of 'my goals for '08' list), it probably would be gory, talking about forensic files and tales from the hospital. i think his myspace page might surprise him into wanting more online presence. if he does, it will be the sweetest moment of my life. the "i told you" will echo through the valley.
I thoroughly enjoyed this post. It's so true, husbands just don't understand/appreciate the blogging thing quite like we do. John is the same as Bryce in that he'll read my blog, and even sometimes leave a nice/funny comment, but he does not waste his time looking at others' blogs unless I make a point to show him something. I think he feels like I should have more important things to do with my time (cook, clean, laundry) rather than sit my butt in front of the computer all day. (Okay, so it's not really that bad!)
i enjoy a male perspective on most issues. they're usually more practical and less emotional. and i find their dry, matter-of-fact delivery amusing. that's how spencer's blog would be...practical. he's the most practical person i know.
Brady hates the whole blogging thing! He doesn't even know what's on ours. He would die if he knew that picture of him in the skirt was on there! Ha Ha, that's what he gets!
I think Blake's blog would consist of 5 topics: things that are hard, things that are tard, music that phases, the Suns, and pics of his guitar.
actually we were just talking about you at work like 2 days ago. we were talking about how funny and creative you are. your mind just doesn't think like most peoples and i love that about you! you should come work one day a week! i love working there. i mean, where else could you dress up as a troll and take pictures all day long...honestly, is work allowed to be that fun??
