i'd like to know where this phrase came from. did people really keep cats in bags and over time finally let them out? it's weird and it doesn't really make any sense. i picture a crumpled paper bag with a cat in it, but honestly, that cat would rip that bag to shreds the moment it was put in, right? same with a plastic bag. so did they use thick canvas bags? seems like kind of a waste of a good bag.
anyways, i think it's time that i let the cat out of the bag. i'm 11 1/2 weeks pregnant and due in may. most of you already know, but my dr. told me that it's not really official until you post a blog about it on the www. doctor's orders, i have to listen.

they used burlap bags. strong enough to hold a couple cats but not nice enough to care if they were to get ruined.
and 1995 called. they want their clipart back.
kayleen, i had a way trendier picture up before but then bryce pointed out that the word copyright was faintly written across the whole picture. the 1995 clipart was the next "cat in a bag" picture that i found. besides, i heard that '95 styles are back in. i'm going to start rolling up my jean shorts and tucking in my big t-shirts.
oh, and birkenstocks with socks are hot too.
