weekend review

we had a pretty good weekend. friday night bryce and i spent it together. we headed to matta's for dinner. i was totally craving it all day so it was great to indulge. after dinner we came home and played outside with ava. the night breeze was perfect, it was a beautiful night. bryce even entertained ava and i with some acrobatic feats. i should've taken pictures. ava was laughing at daddy doing back-flips and back handsprings. i was laughing pretty hard myself. it's funny to see him flipping all around like that, i haven't seen him do that in a while. later that night after ava was in bed we popped in 'the pursuit of happyness'. i have been wanting to see this for so long and never got around to seeing it while in theatres, so bryce bought it for me for easter. if you've never seen it, i highly recommend it... we thoroughly enjoyed it. i cried like 3 times, though.

saturday, bryce had to work from 9:30am - 12:30am!! i was so sad that he was going to have such a long day. our friend blake was having a birthday party later that afternoon and i was bummed that i would have to fly solo. that morning i was busy starting some orders that i had received earlier that week. ava surprised me and slept from 9:30am - 1:30pm! after her nap we headed over to the kimball's for the get together. there was yummy food and treats, everything was delish!

ava had lots of fun playing with owen and miles once she got warmed up.

we ended up staying until about 6:00! i had fun talking and visiting with everyone, despite my hubs not being there. i'm glad i had something to do to help the day go more quickly. after the party i headed over to my parents house for dinner. (can you tell that i don't like being by myself for hours at a time while bryce is at work?) we ate dinner and then headed outside to enjoy the wonderful weather again.

ava and i finally headed home around 7:30pm. ava was exhausted from the long day and missed nap. i put her to bed and got started on my new kitchen curtains. they're almost done, i just need a few finishing touches on them. i'm also working on a few other things for the house which i will blog about when they're completed. bryce finally came home around 1am. it was sad that we didn't get to see each other all day so we stayed up until 2 talking about our day. sundays are always busy for us, but after church we finally had time to spend together. overall, we had a pretty good weekend.
