yesterday, i decided to change things up and take ava to the library. ava absolutely loves books. she brings them over to us and climbs in our laps ready to be read to. so i figured she would love the library. i got her diaper bag packed up and we headed over to the local public library.
it was a nightmare.
first, i had grabbed a few books for me to thumb through while ava played. when i put ava down she would run off, so i had to carry her, the diaper bag, my purse and 4 books, over to the children's area. i put ava down and she went straight over to the puzzles. perfect, now i can go through some of these books. about 3 minutes later she was bored. she headed over to the board books and began pulling them all out one at a time. i grabbed her and a handful of books and plopped her down in front of them. she flipped through half of them and she was off again. i got up, and brought her back and tried reading some books to her. she ran over to the small table with one of those bead wire track toys. that kept her busy for about 4 minutes. she went over to the older kids books and began to pull those out of the shelves. i ran over to her and she ran off. i put away the books and went hunting for her. this routine went on for another 15 minutes when i decided to throw in the towel and go home. i grabbed ava, my purse, the diaper bag, my four books and the 15 board books she decided to pull out of the shelves and headed over to the book reshelving cart. i dropped the books off and headed straight for the door. i was so frustrated.

we came home and i let ava play outside while i plopped down on our porch for a few minutes. i was so exhausted and she had worn my patience very thin. i was in no mood for fun. i looked up at her and she was playing so cute in the rocks. how could i be mad at such a cute little girl. i grabbed my camera and started taking pictures.

you need cable.
Dang those kids for being so cute.
library is so fun. we don't have cable either so that sounds like something i would do. ava is a doll. you can totally come live with us! we'd have to separate the babes though because Jack loves girls already!
The library never turns out quite how I hope either. Now we usually don't even go inside, but just end up feeding the ducks in the pond behind the library.
