easter weekend

currently i am wasted on "non-drowsy" allergy medicine... it knocked me out for three hours and i had the most craziest vivid dreams, so if i have some spelling errors and/or incorrect grammar i apologize ahead of time. now for our weekend...

every easter saturday bryce's grandma has a huge breakfast at her house. there are always so many people there and children that i don't know. they rented one of those moonbouncers and ava had lots of fun in there! unfortunately, i forgot my camera and was only able to capture the fun on a picture phone...

after grandma nena's we headed up for and laid ava down for her nap... bryce decided he needed one too, so i headed to joann's while the two sleepyheads caught up on their beauty sleep. i made some awesome purchases and am excited to get started on some of my latest projects... i will blog about these finished projects later.

later that afternoon, we headed over to my parents for dinner and some egg dye-ing (i know, i know drop the 'e' and add 'ing' but when i do that it makes it look as though i'm saying that the eggs are dead. anyways...) ava always has lots of fun with grandma and papa.

we didn't get to the egg dye-ing until later that evening so ava was already tucked in upstairs while my sister and i colored them. we had fun messing around with the eggs...

i made this one especially for ava, since she calls everything a cat...

sunday morning i awoke to a yummy easter breakfast prepared by bryce. ava got sleepy around 9:45 that morning so bryce and i enjoyed a private breakfast for two. yes, bryce let me sleep in until 10 am! ava decided she needed to sleep extra long that morning and slept until 2pm! i decided that i should let her sleep since she had been fighting off a bit of a cough earlier that week, even if that meant that i would miss most of sacrament meeting. at least i was able to make it all the way through relief society since she had taken such a long nap!

after church we headed over to bryce's parents house for easter dinner. ava was not in the mood for socializing so we laid her down again for her second nap at his parents house. it was nice to enjoy a nice dinner conversation, without being interrupted by ava saying "ah done?"(all done?) after her first bite of food. once she woke up from her nap she was in much better spirits and we were able to take a few easter pictures.

after visiting with bryce's family, we headed over to my parents house for a little bit and then finally headed home. we got ava ready for bed and tucked her in. we were quite tired ourselves. we went to go get changed out of our sunday clothes when we walked into our room we were taken back by this...

somehow the cat tipped our dresser over. sometimes she likes to jump up into the drawers when we open them and if we leave a couple of them open it makes the dresser a bit top heavy. i'm just glad that the cat didn't get trapped underneath... i would've felt so guilty! bryce spent the next hour trying to salvage our dresser by fixing the drawers and got it back into working condition. the rest of the night was spent with me flipping through a magazine with bryce asleep on my lap. it was a great end to a great weekend!
